Bio

Nola Marie Pelt July 24, 1936  -  May 15, 2025 Funeral services for Mrs. Nola Marie Johnson Pelt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Pitkin, with Reverends Ryan Murphy, David Woodham, and Arlen Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Drakes Fork Cemetery, Cravens, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Pelt, 88, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard, mowing, and taking care of her plants. Nola loved taking care of her little dog, "Lady." She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pelt; one daughter, Linda Pelt LeBoeuf; and her parents, Irving and Jewel Johnson. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Jerry Pelt of Pitkin, and Orville Pelt of Pitkin; six grandchildren, Courtney Bagwell (Eric), Kristyn Pelt, Cory LeBoeuf (Kathleen), Ashleigh Menard (Zachary), Brandon Pelt (Salena), and Heather Mayo (Bret); and eight great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, Pitkin, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
