Bio

Larry Edward Morris, 80, of El Campo, passed away comfortably on May 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 18, 1945 to the late Jesse and Mary Zimmerhanzel Morris. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family was his world and he did everything for them. He proudly served in the National Guard. He worked in the oilfield industry until he retired in Rockport in 2008. Larry enjoyed being with his family, especially his only grandchild, Maddie! He loved being outdoors, piddling around, fishing, and working on anything that needed fixing. He is survived by his son, Chad Morris of Fredericksburg; daughter, Kimberly Feverjean of El Campo; granddaughter, Maddie Feverjean of El Campo and brother, James Morris and wife Tammy of Lane City. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carol Morris. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 15 at the funeral home with the Rev. Collins Yaw Twam officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Norman Horton, Cole Slaughter, Billy Vaclavik, A.C. Rooker III, T.K. Treme and Jay Skrovan. The family would like to thank El Campo Memorial Hospital and Houston Hospice – El Campo for the care they gave to Larry. Memorial donations in memory of Larry may be made to the El Campo Medical Foundation
