In 1952, Wilma, Walter, and their young son, David, moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where Wilma later began her career. In 1973 she began working for the State of Wisconsin, and retired from WDOT-railroad division in 1990. In 1998, Wilma and Walter returned to Lincoln, Nebraska, to be closer to family. Wilma was a woman of strong faith and fellowship.
