Bio

Alvie Charles Egger, 86, of Nolan died Sunday in a Sweetwater nursing center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Slater's Chapel Cemetery in Nolan, directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Mr. Egger was born in Ebony and was a retired farmer and rancher. He had lived in the Nolan community since 1932 and was a member of the Nolan Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon for 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Jewel Nita Egger of Sweetwater; one son, Windell Egger of Nolan; one brother, Marvin Egger of Bastrop; one sister, Audrey Spain of Brownwood; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
