Bio
Our beloved mother, DOROTHY M. CRAWFORD, 84, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2008. She was born February 16, 1924, in Antlers, Oklahoma. Dorothy retired after serving 25 years as a buyer for Britt's Clothing Store. She continued to share her life protecting children as a HISD school crossing guard. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, and for many years a friend of Bill W. She is survived by her sister Bernice Wilson, 3 daughters, one son, and one step-daughter. Dorothy had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with several step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, July 8, at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 10 AM at Pat H. Foley. She will be placed next to her loving husband Joseph Allen Crawford in Center Point, Arkansas. • The Houston Chronicle July 8, 2008.
