Houma, LA; Courier June 14. 2006 1:19PM Franklin "F.H." Hardie Creel, 79, a native of Kountze, Texas, and resident of Houma, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by two sons, Hardie Creel and wife, Phyllis, of Gray and Kevin Creel and wife, Liana, of Miami; one daughter, Elvire Nutter and husband, William, of Houma; one brother, Jack Creel and wife, Ernestine, of North Platte, Neb.; one sister, Mary Francis Cook of Cuero, Texas; four grandsons, Ben Nutter of Houma, Robert Nutter and wife, Kandy, of Houma, Joshua Creel and companion, Cheri, of Schriever and Jacob Creel of Miami; five step-grandsons, Pablo and Santiago Escudero of Miami, Terry and Daniel Lapeyrouse of Houma and Decator "Trey" Pitre III of Atlanta; three step-great-grandchildren, Mary Kaitlyn, Jolie and Gage; and his cousin, Alton "BoBo" Jordan of Kountze. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Porche Creel; his parents, Ben J. Creel and Effie Hardie Creel; one sister, Clara Ann Fee; and two great-grandbabies, Baby Nutter and Baby Creel. He was a retired drilling and production foreman for Texaco, a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a member of the VFW Post No. 7555. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family, friends and his dog, Lucky. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
