Bio
Amelia Killgore married Joe Moffatt on March 20, 1873. They had two sons and four daughters. The flu epidemic swept through Texas around 1915 to 1918 and Amelia Kilgore lost several of her family members. Joe and Amelia then helped raise four children of Amelia's brother after her brother died. Joe and Amelia went on to own their own land and purchased businesses and were well respected in the Clifton area. During the latter part of her life, Amelia had a stroke and was bedridden and paralyzed for several years during which time Joe took care of her. Joe and Amelia had a good life and their family was everything to them.
