Robert Lee Topil 82 of Lincoln, NE passed away on January 3, 2021. Born in 1938 to Anthony and Helen (Rech) Topil in Platte Center, NE. Bob loved the Lord and had a deep unwavering faith. He loved his family & friends. He enjoyed traveling and watching sports with his Rosie. He was proud of his Czech heritage. He joined Lincoln Fire & Rescue in 1966. His career as a fire fighter brought him great joy and many accomplishments. He retired as Deputy Chief in 1996. After retirement he worked several other jobs, which always had him helping others, which was a great passion in his life. Survivors include his Wife – RoseLee, Sons- Mark (Julie), Michael (Lynette), Gregory (Nancy) & Jeffery (Rachel) Topil. Grandchildren- Jenna (William) Nguyen, Heather (Rob) Timm, Justin Topil, Aaron (Mollie) Topil, Melissa (Jed) States, Alex (Michael Lynn) Topil, & Baily Topil. Great Grandchildren Adelynn, Makenzie & Hannah States, Lucas & Nathan Timm, Natalie, Claire, & Milayna Topil, Mara Topil, Wyatt Nguyen and 2 more on the way in 2021. 2 Brothers- LeRoy (Margaret) & Alfred (Sharon). Many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents & 2 sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, 1-7-2021, 9am-9pm, Family present 12-6:30pm at the funeral home. Rosary will be at Butherus Maser & Love Funeral Home Thursday 6:30pm. Private Family Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7105 Cass Street, Denton, NE. Burial is open to the public. Family & Friends will meet at Gate #2 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6700 South 14th Street on Friday at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Family to be designated later.
