Bio
Marjorie H. Witulski, 79, of Beatrice died at the Beatrice Community Hospital on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born on June 7, 1935 at Bellwood, NE and lived in Bellwood and Rising City. She graduated from Brainard High School in 1952 and received her B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1975. She taught in rural schools in Polk and Butler Counties prior to her marriage. She married Lee Witulski on August 7, 1957 at Shelby and they lived in Beatrice where she taught at St. Joseph's Catholic School and rural schools in Jefferson County before taking a teaching position with the Odell Public Schools where she was also the librarian for 17 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society and Circle. She was also a member of the Beatrice Area Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed quilting, volunteering at the library and Gage County Museum. She had been a leader of 4-H and a member of T.O.P.S. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Witulski and wife Mary of Beatrice and Ted Witulski and special friend Ana Infante of Lewisville, TX; five daughters, Melanie Kleinfelter and husband Robert of Toledo, OH, Ellen Mohling and husband Roger and Lucy Blood and husband Clyde all of Beatrice, Diane Hughes and husband Alan of Rayville, MO and Ann Plautz and husband Ken of Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, LeRoy Topil and wife Margaret of Rising City, Alfred Topil and wife Sharon and Robert Topil and wife RoseLee all of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Helen Rech Topil; her husband Lee, who died in 1968 and her sister, Mary Ann. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Robert Barnhill, Celebrant and Father Thomas McGuire, Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery of Beatrice. A Scriptural Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. at the Fox Funeral Home . The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and not at the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
