Steven Kent Iverson, 61, of Hastings, NE died on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, NE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings with Derek Apfel officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings. Steven was born on September 21, 1963 in Bridgeport, NE to Richard and Florene Iverson. He joined the United States Air Force in 1981 and served until 1988 as a Senior Airman working as a full systems specialist. He was united in marriage to Dawn McAlevy on October 18, 1986 in Hastings, NE where they built their home and raised their family. Steve was active in the community and provided for his family working in the field of agriculture. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; children, Tosha (Shawn) Kunzman, Kyle (Brooke) Iverson, and Kimberly (Jayson) Johnson; grandchildren, Devan, Savana, Adalyn, Kamron, and Reagan; siblings, Karen Cushing, Ken Iverson, Keith Iverson, James (Leticia) Iverson, and Joan (Mike) Meese; and numerous nieces and nephews.
