Leona Irene McClure passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at her residence for the past 6 years at Village on the Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on January 27, 1929, in Golden, Missouri where she lived until the age of 12 and then moved with her family to Rocky, Oklahoma. Irene was preceded in death by her parents J.W. and Omah (Eden) Hardwick, 5 siblings - Ruby Hardwick Whitener and Roy Hardwick (fraternal twins), Nolan Hardwick, her identical twin Eileen Hardwick Wrinkle and Bobby Hardwick. Her husbands Fred Coleman, Rush Springs, Oklahoma; A.J. Dool, Cordell, Oklahoma and Bill McClure, Enid, Oklahoma. Irene graduated from Rocky, Oklahoma high school. Irene and her twin Eileen were so identical, it made it almost impossible to tell them apart. Their graduation class photo and diploma of their class of 12 has their names reversed. After graduation she became a telephone switchboard operator in Lone Wolf and Lawton, OK and in Clinton, OK. She lived many years in Cordell and Enid, OK before moving in her final years to Oklahoma City. She attended the Church of Christ. Thank you to Village on the Park and Legacy Family Hospice for their care. Private interment will be in Lone Star Cemetery, Rocky, Oklahoma, at a future date.
