Funeral services for Mike Herzinger age 65 of Wisner, NE will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner, NE with burial in the St. Paul's German Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wisner, NE. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Mike passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE. Michael Eugene Herzinger was born on April 26, 1959 at Pender, NE to Gerald and LaVerne (Sindelar) Herzinger. He was baptized and confirmed at the Beemer United Methodist Church. Mike attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #16 and graduated from Wisner-Pilger High School in 1977, where he was involved in 4-H showing dairy cattle and wrestling. Mike over the years worked for Bob Jacobsen, BH & K Feedlot near Atkinson, NE, Herb Albers Feedlot, Brad Maas Feedlot and was currently working for the Cuming County Roads Department. He was known to all as "Iron Mike", was involved with Wisner's Thunder by the River Tractor Pull, and enjoyed lending a hand to whoever needed it. Survivors include- Father-Gerald Herzinger of Pender, NE Sister-Cindy and Randy Plummer of Clarkson, NE Brother-Dan Herzinger of Wisner, NE Brother-Scott Herzinger of Beemer, NE Nieces, Nephews, along with great nieces and nephews also survive him. Mike was preceded in death by his mother-LaVerne.
