Patsy E. Hutchison, 89, of St. Paul, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul. Visitation will be held one hour before the time of the service at the church. Pastor Daniel Bear will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery in Silver Creek. Patsy was born on May 26, 1935, in Omaha, the daughter of Florence Vincent Jacobs. She grew up in Columbus and the surrounding communities and graduated from Columbus High School in 1952. She then attended the School of Commerce in Omaha. She met the love of her life, Eldon O. Hutchison, while working at the Y-Knot Drive Inn in Columbus. They were married on May 9, 1953, in Silver Creek. The couple first lived in Lincoln, later moving to Columbus and then to Aurora, where they raised their children and worked together running their business, Hutchison Enterprises. Patsy was a devoted wife to Eldon for 53 years, before his passing on March 30, 2007. She moved to St. Paul in 2008, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a former member of the First Christian Church in Aurora and a member of Grace Baptist Church in St. Paul. Patsy loved to sit in the sunshine, watching and listening to the birds. She enjoyed family vacations to Minnesota, Holiday dinners and games, reading, playing cards and going to the St. Paul Senior Center. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Hutchison of Valley, Julie Schlueter of St. Paul, and Shari Hutchison of Lincoln; son, Eldon Hutchison of Fairbury; treasured nanny to Christian and Kayleen Ramon, Jasmine Lewis, Christy and Kenny McCaleb, Lacey Lange, Amanda Saunders, Sheridan Hutchison, Shelby Hutchison, and Severyn Foster; 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sisters, Vanetta Wyman of Silver Creek and Rose & Jerome Foltz of Humphrey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother; infant son, Barry Hutchison; half-brother, Ronald Jacobs; her in-laws, Ted and Emma Hutchison; and Eldon's siblings, Donald Hutchison, Nancy and Walter Shanks and Terrence Hutchison.
