Bio

Pauline passed away in peace on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 85. Pauline was born May 9, 1939, to Ludwig and Natalie Caka of Shiner, TX. She lived in Gonzales, TX working for Continental Egg Company and the Evenin's Star Boot Company before changing jobs to work for Casper Iron Works in Shiner, TX. Upon retirement she moved and settled in Victoria, TX. Pauline loved to spend her time outside tending to her garden and in her shop making wood crafts, metal ornaments, and wind chimes. On rainy days she would spend her time indoors making patchwork quilts and baking her Kolaches and pigs in the blankets. Pauline was a fighter and a tough woman as she took on the challenge to battle over two decades of Lung Cancer beating it several times and never once allowing it to slow her down. Pauline leaves behind her sons: David Pohler and Craig Caka (Amanda); Grandsons Dustin Pohler (Brittany), Noah Rodriguez, and Troy Caka; Granddaughters, Casey Pohler, Shelby Pohler (Justin), and Sophia Caka; Great grandchildren, Sara Miller, Pearson Pohler, Abby Pohler, Tami Pohler, and Justin Pohler and several nieces and nephews. Pauline is preceded in death by her Parents Ludwig and Natalie Caka; Husbands Robert Pohler (1957, Shiner, TX) and Lawrence Kelly (2003, Victoria TX); Son Timothy Pohler and Siblings Angeline Petru, Frances Randow, and Stacy Huser. A Rosary followed by a funeral service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Grace Memorial Chapel in Victoria, TX, followed by burial at Memory Garden Cemetery. The Pallbearers include Dustin Pohler, Noah Rodriguez, Troy Caka, Justin Orsak, Shane Caka, Jeremy Caka, Donald Young, and Frankie Huser. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her nieces and nephews.
