Lawrence C. Kelly, Jr., 75, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born November 1, 1942 in Palacios to the late Lawrence C. and Ella Lee Cosby Kelly, Sr. Lawrence retired from Alcoa after 34 years of service. He was a Catholic and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bloomington, TX. Even though he was fighting cancer and was only given a few months to live, Lawrence put up a good fight to be here as long as he could to enjoy his time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his Alcoa stories and for his love of riding his lawnmower and tending to his yard and garden. He loved keeping up with all the sports on TV and most of all watching his grandchildren grow and going to all their events. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Caka Kelly; sister, Betty Burch; stepsons, David Pohler, Timothy Pohler, Craig Caka and wife Amanda Rubio-Caka; step-grandchildren, Casey Pohler, Dustin Pohler and wife Brittany, Shelby Pohler, Noah Rodriguez, Troy Caka, and Sophia Caka; and step-great grandchildren, Sara Miller, Pierson Pohler, Abigail Pohler, and Tami Gaertner. Visitation will be from 4 – 5 pm Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, and a Rosary will be recited at 4:30. Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, August 27, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels followed by burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Deacon Fred Soto officiating.
