Bio

Aurora ~ Douglas Glenn Goodwin, 74, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Decatur. Funeral is 10 AM Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Douglas was born on March 7, 1948 to Gillis Glenn and Hazel Louise (Brown) Goodwin in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Sarah Moore on May 7, 1975 in Denton. Douglas proudly served our country in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a beloved husband, father, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Sarah Goodwin of Aurora; his daughter, Natalie Christine Goodwin of Aurora; his sister, Glenda Louise Vass of Burleson; his brother, Gary Lynn Goodwin of Hurst; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
