Bio
Davey Fanning, of Bokchito, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born on March 21, 1958, in Paris, Texas to Ralph Wade and Emogene (Smith) Fanning. After completing his high school education in Bokchito, Oklahoma, Davey answered the call of duty and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, Davey returned to his roots in Bokchito, where he worked in the parts departments of Easter's Trucking Company and for Johnny Bundart. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, finding peace by the water and joy in the thrill of the catch. Davey was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Win or lose, Davey's loyalty to his team never wavered, and game days were always a highlight for him. Davey was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Emogene Fanning, and his brother, Jack Smith.
