Elgie Melvin McIntire, 89, Borger, died Wednesday, April 6, 1994 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo, Graveside services will be a 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor Bible Baptist Church officiating.Burial will be by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors. A native of Kemp, he moved to Borger in 1954 from McKinney. He was a reitred carpenter, and a Baptist. He married Eva Cates on Sept. 17, 1924 in McKinney. He was preceded in death by a son, James Edward McIntire in 1928 and a daughter, Betty Ann McIntire in 1938. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Billy McIntire, Pampa, Jackie of Amarillo and Dale of Fritch: two daughters, Melba Tullos of Borger and Patsy Pierce of Amarillo, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
