Bio

Fred McIntire, 65, died at the V. A. Medical Center in Bonham, Texas on June 19, 1962. He served as a Corporal in the US Army during World War 1. Fred was born in Lake County, Tennessee on December 9, 1896, the 10th child of William Henry McIntire and LaVandie Elizabeth "Vandy" Knott McIntire. He lived in several places throughout his life including Texas, New Mexico, Washington and California. He was a resident of Duncanville, Texas at the time of his death. Fred was survived by six brothers; John Franklin McIntire, Albert R. McIntire, Alvie Fletcher McIntire, Iles Lee McIntire, Ossie Cleston McIntire, Elgie Melvin McIntire and two sisters; Pearl McIntire Recer and Mary Viola McIntire Pylican, and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie McIntire and James Grover McIntire ; three sisters, Allie McIntire, Linnie Stella McIntire Scott and Bettie Ann McIntire Lonon. Fred was buried in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas, USA
