Bio
Dorothy Christine Becker Rosenberg passed away on May 7, 2008 at the age of 90. She was a resident of Austin for 52 years and retired a Sales Clerk at Joske's and Austin Shoe Store, and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Dorothy was a Cook School Volunteer Reader, Girl Scout Leader, member of VFW Aux. 8787, Lady Knights, a volunteer for 25 years at VA Hospital in Temple, Beta Sigma Phi and graduated high school in 1936 in Taylor, TX. Dorothy is predeceased by husband Haigler "Rosie" Edward Rosenberg, her parents Albert J. Becker Sr. and Cecilia Christine Malish, brother Albert J. Becker, Jr., sons Albert Eugene Greenlees, David Gary Greenlees and grandchild Lori Greenlees. She is survived by her brother, Cecil Becker of Sacramento CA; sister, Geraldine Wilkins of Bastrop, TX; son, Philip Greenlees of Houston, TX; daughter, Pamela Hammers of Leander; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great- grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be on Monday, May 12, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor, TX.
