Bio
Doris Marie Bryant passed in Bastrop, Texas on January 24, 2025. She was six weeks away from her 94th birthday. Doris was born March 10, 1931, in Georgetown, Texas to Ruben and Ora Nord. Doris attended the University of Texas, Brackenridge School of Nursing. She was employed at St. David's Hospital until she married the love of her life, Norman Bryant on May 20, 1950. Doris and Norman raised seven children in their Austin, Texas home. As their children grew and started attending school, Doris started a licensed daycare for infants, preschool, and after-school children in her home. She cared for dozens of children for thirty years and loved them as if they were her own. All the children called her, "Na-Na". Many of the children's parent became her friends. In addition to raising dozens of children, Doris enjoyed a prolific hobby of flower arranging and crafts, including going into business with her Godchild, Nancy. After Norman's passing in 2015, she enjoyed working in her flower garden.
