Richard "Rick" Lee Morfeld, 75, of Milton, Florida passed away at home with family at his side on Friday, January 17, 2025. Rick was born in Nebraska and grew up in Columbus, Georgia. He was the youngest of three children born to late Raymond and Amanda Morfeld. He was a graduate of Columbus High School. He served in the military for over 20 years and is a retired Navy veteran. He retired from Federal employment in 2013. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Morfeld, Sr.; his mother, Amanda Morfeld; his biological mother, Gertrude Jones; his brother, Raymond Morfeld, Jr.; and his sister, Sarah Morfeld. A Funeral Service for Rick Morfeld will be held on Thursday January 30, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 64581 Park Avenue Milton, FL 32570, with visitation from 9:30-10:00am and service at 10:00am. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday January 30,2025 at 1:00pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road Pensacola, FL 32507. The procession will meet no later than 12:30pm at Olive Baptist Church- Warrington Campus, 103 West Winthrop Avenue Pensacola, FL 32507. Donations may be made in Rick's name, to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 6451 Park Avenue, Milton, FL 32570. Obituary published to website of Lewis Funeral Home 20 January 2025. Names of the living removed to comply with Find A Grave regulations.
