Bio

Frank Joseph Tucek, 85, of Taylor, died June 27, 2010 in Round Rock, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with James Kretzman officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Taylor. He was born November 7, 1924 to Jaroslav and Adela Tucek in Williamson county. Frank married Marietta Decker February 6, 1949. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the Battery B 259th Coast Artillery Battalion. In his later years he enjoyed deer hunting, wood working and loved relaxing at his cabin with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known to all as Pee Paw and will truly be missed. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Georgia Kincl, Ruby Lange and uncle Henry Dusek. He is survived by his loving wife, Marietta Decker Tucek; children, Evelyn Zieschang, Marion Spiller and husband Douglas, Randall Tucek and wife Jalane and Stephen Tucek; brother, Jerome Tucek and wife Yvonne; sister, Anna Sladek; grandchildren, Shannon Biar and husband Darren, Lori Randig and husband Robert, Kristy Shelgren and husband Chris, Mark Russell, Travis Tucek and wife Kristi, Matthew Tucek and fiancé Courtney Patterson, Douglas Spiller II, Deborah Wilson and husband Tim; great-grandchildren, Ethan Biar, Jacob Biar, Michaela Biar, McKenna Biar, Brenna Tucek, Peyton Randig, Parker Randig, Alex Shelgren, Jude Shelgren, Jaycee Patterson, Kaitlyn Spiller, Ashley Spiller, Connelly Wilson and Madeline Wilson. Pallbearers will be Mark Russell, Travis Tucek, Matthew Tucek, Ken Sladek, Darren Biar, Robert Randig and Chris Shelgren. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Kubacek, Kenneth Krueger, Emil Chmelar and Kevin Lange. Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse Hospice, 2913 William Drive, Suite 320, Georgetown, Texas 78628 or Christ Lutheran Church in Noack, TX.
