Bio
Geraldine J. Bartek, 83, of Lincoln, died June 23. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Prayer Group for Vocations, Catholic Daughters of America, and Pink Sisters Auxiliary and volunteer driver for the Pink Sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward "Ed" Joseph and Ludmilla "Lillian" (Ruzek) Pop, and daughter, Gloria. She is survived by her husband, Ivan Bartek; sons and daughters-in-law, Emanuel and Terri Bartek, Tom and Donita Bartek, all of Lincoln and Father Val Bartek of Trenton; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Michael Wadum of Omaha and Jennifer and Bryan Hofmeister of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was held June 27 at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in Lincoln with Father Val Bartek and Father Lyle Johnson officiating. Graveside services and burial were held at St. John's Cemetery in Weston. Memorials may be made to St. John the Apostle School in Lincoln, or to family's choice.
