Betty A. Satorie was born to Stanley V. and Monica (Banark) Klatka, December 6, 1929, in Litchfield, Nebraska. She was the youngest of four sisters. Each sister lived to ninety-five years old and her father made it to 93 years. She attended South High School. She enjoyed ice skating where she met her future husband, Bob, at Riverview Park, which is now the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. They married on August 27, 1955, at St. Agnes Church. They had three children, Lynne, Monica and Tom. Lynne married Rich Laux. They have three children. Richie married Ashley, and their children are Alyssa and Colin. Daughter, Haley, is married to Sean Coleman, and their children are Peyton, Jude, Ari and baby #4 is due February 9, 2025. Lastly is their son, Dan. She is also survived by daughter, Monica Satorie and Ted Clary; and son, Tom and his wife, Susie, who live in Salamander Bay, New South Wales, Australia, along with their children, Patrick and wife, Amy, daughter, Hannah, and her husband, Etienne Benoit, who all reside in Australia. Betty was involved in many clubs throughout the years; 4-H Club, Pulaski Club, Legion of Mary, and Sokol, South Omaha. Betty worked for many years at the Douglas County Assessor's Office until retirement. She always enjoyed dancing at Peony Park, line dancing at the Senior Center, polka dancing and playing the piano. After retirement, Betty and Bob traveled, enjoying many cruises, and going to Australia several times to see their son, Tom. They traveled to see Our Lady of Fatima Shrine and to see the Polish Pope, St. John Paul II. During her life she was always a very loving and caring mother and wife. She was preceded in death by husband, Bob.
