Mattie Elizabeth "Bette" Donaldson. Dec. 5, 1924 to Jan. 2, 2025. Born in Stoneburg, TX. She moved to Washington D.C. at the age of 18, where she met her future husband Darrell H. before he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Once Darrel retired from the Marine Corps they settled in North Olmsted, OH in 1964. Mattie E. "Bette" was very active in the Southern Baptist Church for most of her life. Beloved mother of Jacqueline Godsey (Alvin), Linda Dale Orlowski (dec'd Dr. James), Darrel D. Donaldson (Ellen), Deborah S. Janiak (Kenneth), Michael R. Donaldson (Barbara). Loving grandmother of Rebecca Lynn Bello (Mark), Dr. James Christensen, Elizabeth Johnson (Eric), Eric Donaldson (Jessica), Michelle Shue (Aubrey Clinton), Donald Ellesin (Judy), Daniel Ellesin (Sara), Danielle Crawford. Great-Gram-Bette of Madeline (John), Zakary (Christina), Grant, Corrine, Bennett, Jase, Aubrey Jr., Theodore, Cheyenne "Phoenixx", Michael, Elizabeth, Jennifer (Jeremy), Donald II, Jessica, Amanda, Andrea and Autumn. Dear friend to Norma Ann Janiak. Bette was preceded in death by her 9 siblings. Services will be will be held in the Sanctuary of Life Mausoleum of Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
