Donald J. Frauendorfer, 72, of Humphrey, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, in Omaha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey with Fr. Patrick A. McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Cemetery in Platte Center. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture service, at the church. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the church. Donald was born Nov. 19, 1943, the son of Albert and Emma (Vavra) Frauendorfer, at Humphrey, and attended St. Francis High School in Humphrey. On July 1, 1961, Donald and Nancy Ann Kuhlen were united in marriage at St. Leonard Catholic Church in Madison. He farmed most of his life on the home place until 1994 and began working at Behlen Mfg. Co. for 15 years, retiring in 2009 and receiving a 15-year service award. Donald enjoyed going to the sale barn, buying bottle-fed baby calves, nurturing and selling them, and enjoyed the companionship of their dog Cookie and cat Smoker. He loved spending time with family and grandsons. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Nancy; children, Diana and Robb Alderson, Jeffrey Frauendorfer, Jamie Frauendorfer and Denisha and Jason Kirsch; grandsons, Robert W. Alderson and Jon Alderson; and brothers, Alvin and Marcella Frauendorfer and Tom and Sandy Frauendorfer. Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Emma Frauendorfer.
