Bio
Kay Koger was born May 30, 1944, and departed this life on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late William A. and Altha (Pyles) Koger. He married Barbara (Cash) Koger and to this union, 3 children were born. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Koger; three daughters, Kim (Randy) Gooch, Pam (Donnie) Piercy, and Misty (Abram) Ojure; seven grandchildren, Madison Fearneyhough, Chelsey Piercy, Laura Gooch, McKayla Gooch, Sierra Hoskins, Mira Ojure, and Mae Ojure; three great-grandsons, Oliver Hoskins, Crew Fearneyhough, and Keaton Webb; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, William A. and Altha Koger, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Paul Sue Koger, Ina Stearns, Moss Norman, and Estil Koger. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024, between 6 pm – 9 pm and Monday, December 23, 2024, between 7 am – 11 am in the funeral home chapel. The memorial service will be held Monday, December 23, 2024, at noon at the "Koger Family Final Resting Place" on the farm with burial to follow. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
