Mary Virginia Stout Duffield Shoemaker Ca. 1863 ~ 14 February 1933 She was first married to Hedgeman Duffield (son of Hedgeman Triplett Duffield and Sarah Eller) on 21 Feb 1884 in McDonald County, Missouri. Daughter Sarah "Sadie" Duffield West was born in Dec 1884 in McDonald County, Missouri. MRS. MARY SHOEMAKER, GALENA WOMAN, DIES. Galena, Kan., Feb. 14. — Mrs. Mary V. Shoemaker , 69 years old, Galena resident fifty years, died suddenly from a heart attack at 9:45 o'clock this morning at her home in Galena Heights. Surviving are three sons, W. G. Shoemaker and J. J. Shoemaker, both of Galena, and J. L. Shoemaker, of Seminole, Okla., and one daughter, Mrs. Sadie West, of Commerce, Okla. Twenty-seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Shoemaker , 69 years old, who died suddenly from a heart attack yesterday morning at her home in Galena Heights, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Empire Mission in Galena Heights, with the Rev. Dow Booe in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Bullard, Charles Roberts, Ott Ryan, John Sullenger, Lee Phipps and T. S. Banks.
