Bio

Isaac J. Curry, one of the grandest old men in Ash Grove township, died Friday at his home near Sexson. Funeral services were conducted at the late residence Saturday by Elder M. G. Hart, burial following in the Ellis cemetery. Mr. Curry was born in Murray Co., TN, Mar. 11, 1806 and consequently was nearly 92 years old at the time of his death. He married Mary M. Enochs, Apr. 14, 1839 and she, with four sons, four daughters, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, survive. Mr. Curry made religious professions early in life but never united with any church. But none can say naught against him as he was a good neighbor and a useful citizen. Windsor Gazette - 3 Jun 1897
