Bio

Michael Wayne Kasper, 48, of El Campo, Texas passed away December 5, 2024. He was born on June 2, 1976 in Wharton, Texas to the late Adeline Ott Kasper and Daniel Kasper. Michael lived his entire life in El Campo. He attended El Campo public schools and graduated from El Campo High School in 1994. He was an active member of 4-H from third grade through high school and an active member of FFA during high school. He was a member of the El Campo Elks Lodge #1749, the Garwood Volunteer Fire Department, and former Board of Directors of Wharton County Youth Fair. Michael owned and operated MAK Services providing general construction and remodeling services. Michael was an avid craftsman – if you had a building project idea, Michael could build it. Michael loved to play dominos – he could easily be found playing dominos on Saturday nights with his dad, uncles, and friends. If he wasn't playing dominos, he could also be found hunting with friends. He is survived by his father, Daniel Kasper; sisters, Denise Dorotik and husband Brian, and Sara Weathers and husband Jeremy; nieces, Brianna Dorotik, Bridget Dorotik and Hannah Weathers; and aunts and uncles, Godmother Karen Jedlicka and husband Jimmie, Debbie Long and husband Boyed, Anthony Ott, Daniel Ott and wife Ann and Stanley Ott and wife Carrie. He is also survived by multiple cousins. He leaves behinds man's best friend – his dog Colt. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Adeline Ott Kasper; maternal grandparents, Martha and Frankey Ott; paternal grandparents, Lidia and Joe Kasper and uncle and Godfather, Eugene Ott. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 14 at Grace Point Community Church, 820 West Loop, El Campo, Texas. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. and burial immediately after services at Holy Cross Memorial Park, El Campo. Pastor Mike Smith will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Clayton Brandes, Trent Dorotik, Clint Hlavaty, Garrett Hunter, Michael Kunz, Phillip Leopold, and Kwinton Urban. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Michael to the Elks Lodge, Garwood Volunteer Fire Department or to the family to defray funeral expenses.
