Bio

QUANAH - Thelma A. Roe, 92, died Friday, June 20, 2008. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Lloyd Stice officiating. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Roe was born July 31, 1915, in Groesbeck to Rosie Lee Pevhouse and Barry Leonard. She married Harm Roe on Oct. 24, 1936, in Ballinger. Survivors include three sons, Ordell Roe of Quanah, Franklin D. Roe of Wichita Falls and C.J. Roe of Eldorado, Okla.; two sisters, Elizabeth Gorley of Vernon and Louise Shelton of Lake Tawakoni; 14 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 480, Wichita Falls, TX 79308; or building fund, Quanah Nursing Home, 1106 W. 14th St., Quanah, TX 79252.
