CENTENARIAN Marjorie Mae Hansen Marjorie Mae Hansen, 100 passed away on December 4th, 2024 in the home of her daughter. Being raised in American Fork where her family owned and ran the American Fork Citizen and Lehi Sun newspapers, she was the last surviving child of Victor William and Jennie Johanna Gaisford born on July 19, 1924. Her siblings were Wells Armond, Robert (Bob), Victor William Jr. (Bill), Paul Richard, Ray Eugene, Merlin J and her only sister Sally Anena. Marjorie met John Peter Hansen at the Lehi Skating Rink in November 1940 and they were married in Heber City on May 14, 1941. They made their home in Lehi and she raised her four children; J. Gary (Nancy), Pleasant Grove; Larry L. (Beverly), Highland; Victor S (Kathy-deceased), Santa Fe, Texas; and Judy (Bruce) Shelley, Lehi. She was able to celebrate a 65th wedding anniversary shortly before her loving husband passed away in 2006. Marjorie went to work for Pykettes sewing factory in Lehi when they opened their doors November 27, 1961 and worked there until the early 1980's. Marjorie was always very active. She enjoyed the outdoors where she would fish, hunt, and camp. She loved traveling and went many places throughout the world. She loved spending her summers in Provo Canyon and winters in Yuma, Arizona and as much time with her family as she could. She loved to paint, crochet, sew, and do puzzles. Marjorie is survived by her children, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday December 12th at Wing Mortuary 118 East Main Street Lehi, Utah at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held Wednesday December 11th from 6-8:00 PM at the mortuary and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment Lehi City Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to Nicole Dow, DeDree Brooks and all the staff at Ability Home and Hospice Care who supported the family and helped ensure she was comfortable and safe in her last days.
