Edwards passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 30, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on February 18, 1939, to Bert and Elizabeth Bennett, Lois was known for her loving and caring personality treating everyone with the same amount of compassion, no matter family nor strangers. Lois was an avid golfer, while pursuing a career in interior decoration for 27 years. She was also very active with The Girl Scouts of Utah, being a Brownie Leader, Junior Leader, trainer for council, and would soon become Vice President for 4 years, where she earned the nickname "Gorilla." She was also invited to be the librarian for the special needs program at her stake in Holladay. One of her many creative passions was hand-sewing custom made quilts that she would give to the very special people in her life. All of her quilts were also finished with their own unique "Magic Wish Button." Her spirit lives through her little sister Lyn Wanlass, her children; Kevin (Peggy), Jeanna, Todd, Shawna (Eric), her 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Patricia Angelbuer, Melvin Bert Bennett Jr., Gary Lee Bennett, Max Bennett, Shelley Bennett, her first love Dewey S. Barnhart and her last love Ralph D. Edwards. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Lake Hills Memorial 10055 S. State Street, Sandy, Utah 84047, 1:00 PM with a viewing held prior at 11:00 AM. Interment following services at Lake Hills Memorial cemetery, at the same address.
