Bio
Gerald Gordon Gross, 84, of Clifton Hill, MO, died Thursday, September 19, 2024 at The Villa's at Blue Ridge in Columbia, MO. Jerry was born March 23, 1940 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Jacob and Maria (Dietz) Gross. He married Bernice Alice Bubolt on July 8, 1959 in Nebraska, and she preceded him in death on September 26, 2008. Jerry was a graduate of Scottsbluff High School. He worked alongside his son Gary at Chariton County Concrete, and was most proud of Gary's work ethic and accomplishments. Jerry enjoyed boating, hunting and working, but babies and dogs were his life. Jerry is survived by his son Gary Gross of Clifton Hill, MO, daughter Jerilyn Klenda of Clifton Hill, MO, brothers Jack Gross, Don Gross both of Nebraska, three grandsons Jarred, Joshua, Coalten Klenda, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bernice, daughter Sherilyn Ballenger,several brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Clifton Hill Community Church, P.O. Box 35, Clifton Hill, MO 65244. Cremation services entrusted to Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO.
