Corrine Guilbeau, of Durant, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on October 9, 1942, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Claud Bryant and Vivian Kathern (Oakley) Crouch. She married the love of her life, Orty Guilbeau, on June 28, 1956 in Louisiana. Corrine spent most of her life caring for others; a calling she fulfilled with grace and dedication as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to her work left a mark on the lives of many. Corrine found peace and strength in her Christian beliefs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to her favorite Christian music CDs from Diana Nix, and reading her Bible. These simple pleasures were the foundation upon which she built a life of love and service to others. Although Corrine was small in stature, she had more spunk than others twice her size. One of her favorite sayings was "dynamite comes in small packages". She had a mind of her own and would often let you know what was on it. Corrine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Claud and Vivian Crouch; her husband, Orty Guilbeau; her son, Winston Paul Guilbeau; grandsons Nathan Jeston Guilbeau and Arron Stephen Guilbeau; and her sisters. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she carried their memories with her every day.
