Nancy Louise Darnell, 76, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Monday, October 28, 2024. Nancy was born on December 15, 1947 in Borger, Texas to Clarence and Gertrude (Pierot) Chumley. She graduated high school in Lubbock, Texas. Nancy married Robert Darnell on September 21, 1990 in Sherman, Texas. She enjoyed cooking for her family, cutting her family's hair, and playing with her grandchildren, she loved and adored her family, especially those grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert Darnell of Whitesboro; daughter, Tracy Childress and husband, Jack of Lake Kiowa; son, Monte Wall and wife, Barbara of Petal, MS.; son, Jeffrey Wall of Whitesboro; son, Robert Darnell of Ardmore; son, Michael Darnell of Lakeway; son, Shane Darnell and wife, Shannon of Lakeway, nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gertrude Chumley, brothers, Charles Chumley, Larry Chumley, David Chumley, and Ronnie Chumley. Graveside services honoring Nancy will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, officiated by Chaplain Scott Farr. No formal visitation is scheduled.
