Celebration of life service for Clair C. Grudzinski, 96 of Norfolk, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Pastor Neil Gately. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 16, V.F.W. Post 1644, and United States Army Honor Guard. Clair died on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home in Norfolk. Clair was born on February 17, 1928 in Aurora, NE to Frank and Aniestasia (Koziel) Grudzinski. He attended Aurora Public Schools graduating in 1947. Clair worked for the Farmers Union Creamery until entering the United States Army on September 21, 1947. He completed his basic training in Fort Bliss, TX and served overseas in France and Germany and received his honorable discharge on August 23, 1956. Upon returning home from the military Clair went back to work for the creamery. Clair married Vera Ehlers on September 7, 1959 in Grand Island, NE. In 1971 the family moved to Norfolk where Clair was employed by Mid-American Dairymen. Clair served as field manager completing 40 years before retiring in 1991. Clair was a member of Westridge United Methodist Church. Clair is survived by his wife Vera Grudzinski of Norfolk, children Ann (Tom) Schultz of Norwalk, Iowa, Mike (Tina) Grudzinski of Norfolk, daughter-in-law Shelley Grudzinski of Norfolk, grandchildren Tom Grudzinski, Nick (Erin) Grudzinski, Haley Grudzinski, TJ Schultz, Michelle (Bronson) Frye, great-granddaughter Emersyn Grudzinski, nieces and nephews. Clair was preceded in death by son Patrick Grudzinski, his parents Frank and Aniestasia, siblings Henery, Clements, Edwin, Sylvester, Donald, Marion, Raymond, Andy, sisters Helen and Virginia.
