Felix "Dwain" Oakley November 23, 1935 – September 14, 2024 IN THE CARE OF Eubank Funeral Home & Haven of Memories Memorial Park Dwain went home to the Lord on September 14, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on November 23, 1935, in Martins Mill, Texas to Luther Oakley and Edna Engledow Oakley. Dwain grew up and attended school in Forney, Texas. Dwain was a honest and hardworking man. He worked for the City of Dallas Water Department for 30 years when he retired. Dwain married his beloved Bonnie on June 6, 1992, and the two of them enjoyed 29 beautiful years; traveling, cruises, motor homing. They traveled to Bible lands: Israel and Greece. Time relaxing at the lake house. Dwain was a big football fan. He enjoyed watching football, fishing and time on his pontoon boat with family and grandchildren. Dwain was a member of East Lake Baptist Church. He was devoted to the Lord. Dwain, as we all do, strayed from the Lord, but the love of the Holy Spirit brought him back into the fold. Dwain shared his story and the love of Lord with his family. He wanted them to know the Lord. To have the peace of knowing Jesus and have a strong relation with God. Dwain's family will dearly miss him; but find comfort in knowing he is in Heaven with The Father, and they will see him again. Those who went home to Heaven before Dwain and where there to welcome him: his parents, Luther and Edna Oakley; beloved wife, Bonnie Oakley; son, David Oakley; brothers, James Oakley and Dwight Oakley; sisters, Betty Kincaid and Willie Jo Richardson. Those here to cherish his memory: son, Jerry Oakley and wife, Rebecca; son, Kevin Oakley; grandchildren: Jenna Faith Oakley, Candis Oakley and Christin Oakley; great grandchildren: Jaydin Oakley, Jayce Grover and Joclyn Grover; sister, Mary Dawson; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Oakley and Gertrude Oakley; many nieces and nephews; a host of other family and dear friends.
