Funeral services for Velma Louellen Cooley Wilson, 80, of DeRidder were held at 11am Monday, July 26, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, with the Rev. Paul Massey officiating. Burial was in Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder. She died Saturday, July 24, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. She was a native of DeRidder and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harold Wilson of DeRidder; her son, Al Wilson of DeRidder; her daughter, Patricia Wilson of DeRidder; five brothers, Clifford Cooley, Earl Cooley, Pete Cooley, Tom Cooley, Monk Cooley, all of DeRidder; one sister, Alice Orton of DeRidder; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
