Tom Cooley, 85, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, December 31, 2018. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Lettie Cooley of DeRidder, LA; sons, Bobbie James Cooley and Charlotte of DeRidder, LA, James William Cooley, Jr. and Heike of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Rita Thigpen and LeeRoy of Gillis, LA, Robin Kyleen Shaw of DeRidder, LA, Tammy Cooley of DeRidder, LA, Christine Johnson and Tommy of DeRidder, LA and Jenise Townsley and Lewis of DeRidder, LA; Twenty-six grandchildren, Forty-Five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Allie Cooley; brothers, Clifford, Robert, Monk, Pete and Earl Cooley; sisters, Alice Orton and Velma Wilson; and granddaughter, Ilyssa Bailey Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and will continue on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Christway Church in DeRidder, LA, until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Brother Vic Warrick, Pastor of Christway Church and Brother Clyde Snyder will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Mickey Townsley, Thomas Johnson, Clem Rivera, John Rawlings, Travis Cooley, and James Earl Savage. Honorary Pallbearers, will be Tommy Johnson and Lewis Johnson.
