The Lusk Herald August 1976 Nettie Podolak service held in Torrington (April 14, 1893 - August 8, 1976) Service for Nettie Podolak, 83, of Torrington was held Tuesday afternoon at the Colyer Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip King and the Rev. Delbert Dick officiating. She died Sunday. She was born April 14, 1893, at David City, Neb., the daughter of Antone and Barbara (Kubala) Lang. She grew up and attended school at David City, Neb. She married Charles Podolak at Seward, Neb. March 19, 1912. The couple moved to a homestead 45 miles north of Torrington in 1937. She was preceded in death by Mr. Podolak in 1965. She spent several years at her hobby of quilt making and sewing. She had given many of her quilts away for fund raising projects.
