John was the son of Robert "Bob" Jackson and Mary (Haas) Jackson, both said to have been born in Tennessee. He married M. B. LeMaster in Cook CO, TX on December 23, 1880. Obituary published in The Corsicana Daily Sun on Tues., May 5, 1923, p. 7. Age, birth day & month, death date, parents' names, as well as burial location, taken from his TX Death Certificate.
