Bio

Susan Slovak, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, in Ennis, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 27, 1958, to George and Wanda Robinson, Susan lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication to those she cherished most. Susan married her high school sweetheart, Gregory Slovak, on August 11, 1979 and together they had three daughters:, Rachel, Meagan and Morgan. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Susan's love extended beyond her daughters to her two beloved sons-in-law, Jason Gould and Corey Hickerson, whom she embraced as her own. One of her greatest joys in life was being "Mimi" to her three precious grandchildren: Jaxon, Brighton, and Channing. She found immense pride and happiness in watching them grow and sharing in their lives. Susan's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. As we remember Susan, we celebrate the love she gave so freely, the joy she spread to others, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Susan is preceded in death by her father, George Robinson; her father-in-law, Raymond Slovak; her mother-in-law, Helen Slovak; and her two beloved daughters, Rachel Slovak and Meagan Slovak Gould. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 3 from 6-8pm at J.E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis, Tx. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis on Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00am. Pallbearers: Rick Cepak, Jerold Nichols, Ron Adamcik, Tommy Liska, Kenneth Braddock and Joe Crow. Honorary Pallbearer: Rusty Rudd. In lieu of flowers, Susan's dear friends have established a memorial fund to honor her legacy and her three cherished grandchildren. J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc., Ennis, Texas, Online Obituary
