George Herbert Bartz, age 79, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Friday, August 23, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born July 13, 1945 in Fayetteville, the son of Ruth Mae (Logue) and Peter Paul Bartz, Jr. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Edward Bartz. George retired from the University of Arkansas in Facilities Management. He was an avid Razorbacks fan. He enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales. George loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Connie Bartz of the home; a son, Kyle Bartz (and wife, Erin) of Springdale; five daughters, Devetta McKay (and husband, Mike) of Marionville, Missouri, Sheila White (and husband, Wayman) of Wesley, Denise McAnear of Centerton, Brandi Bowers (and husband, Doug) of Anderson, Missouri, and Bridgette Bartz of Seattle, Washington; three brothers, Robert Bartz (and wife, Shirley) of Fayetteville, Pete Bartz of Brentwood and Bill Bartz (and wife, Beverly) of Fayetteville; a sister, Betty Vanover of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Living Faith Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Steve Curtis officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.,until service-time at the church on Thursday.
