Rites Today For Clara M. Woodruff Funeral services will be held for the late Mrs. Clara M. Woodruff, 47, this afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the Presbyterian Church, in Atkinson. Mrs. Woodruff, an Atkinson housewife, died Wednesday morning, at the Atkinson Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had suffered a heart ailment for a number of years. The Rev. F. F. Payas, local pastor, will conduct the funeral rites. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: E. V. Hickok, P. M. Mentzer, C. C. Raymer, Robert Leder, Walter Farris and Melvin Hood. Mrs. Woodruff, whose maiden name was Clara Mae Spence, was a daughter of the Late Frank Spence and Mrs. Mary Krueger Spence. She was born in Atkinson, June 5, 1907, grew up in this community, and attended the Atkinson public school. She was baptized in the Methodist faith when she was a young girl. She was married to Roy Woodruff, at Butte, on September 1, 1932. Survivors include her husband, Roy; sons: Floyd and LeRoy; daughter, Mrs. Lester (Bernice) Porter, all of Atkinson; two grandchildren: Roger Lee, and Linda Lou Spence; mother, Mrs. Frank Spence, Atkinson; two brothers: Lloyd, and Paul Spence, both of Atkinson; and one sister, Mrs. Weaver (Ruth) Bausch of Atkinson.
