Mary Ruth Kilsby September 19, 1940 — July 21, 2024 Brazoria, TX Mary Ruth Kilsby, born Mary Ruth Pollard on September 19, 1940, in Bay City, TX, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2024 in Brazoria, TX. She was a woman of many talents and held various jobs throughout her life. Her family fondly described her as someone who could do anything she set her mind to. Mary's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her beloved family. She adored each member and wholeheartedly dedicated herself to being there for them at every milestone and event. Her personality radiated warmth and preparedness; if her kids or grandkids had an occasion, Mary ensured it was a special one. Known for her impeccable readiness at sporting events, she carried everything anyone might need. In her leisure time, Mary found immense joy in simple pleasures such as shopping at Wal Mart, fishing excursions, tending to flowers, and delighting in the beauty of hummingbirds. Mary was preceded in death by her husband L.G. "Jeepers" Kilsby, parents Jesse Mae (Mariner) Kilsby and Walter Wells Pollard, and son Walter Lance Kilsby. She is survived by her son Ty Kilsby of West Columbia, TX, daughter Lesa Smith and husband Michael of Brazoria, TX, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The visitation for Mary Kilsby will be held on July 29, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. The burial will take place at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia. Mary will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her warm heart and unwavering dedication to her family. May she rest in eternal peace. Source: C.T.
