Joy and Joe lived most of their married life in Richmond. She worked for Humble/Exxon oil from 1956-1962. Afterwards, she spent many years as a homemaker, raising their two children, Randal and Ann, before returning to work for the Fort Bend County Auditor (1981-2001). They retired to the Texas Hill Country in Georgetown before health issues brought them back closer to family. Joy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph; son, Randal Sr. of Missouri City; daughter, Ann Coker and husband, Darrin, of Katy. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Randal Jankowski, Jr. and wife, Kelly, of Dawson, Matthew Coker and wife, Valerie, of Pflugerville, Andrew Coker and wife, Carlee, of Houston; four great-grandchildren, Jakob, Khloee, Micaiah, and William. She is also survived by her sisters, Irene Svoboda of Wallis, Eleanor Matej of Rosenberg, Maryann Svec of Richmond, and Lucille Pawlak of Richmond, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Kubes Dirba; brother, Raymond. A memorial service will be June 3, 2017 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494.
