The most significant moment of his military career was flying Operation Homecoming, a mission to pick up and bring home our POW's from Hanoi, Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force in 1976, Bill and his family returned to Wyoming where he became an automotive instructor and later assistant training director at Wyoming Technical Institute aka Wyo Tech in Laramie. He retired from WTI in 2000, after 23 years. Bill enjoyed golf, amateur radio and playing the trumpet in the Laramie Municipal and Community Bands.
