Wife of Peter Malish Birth 1840 • Zesklenova, Czech Republic Death Oct 1895 • Texas Agnes and Peter's oldest son was Frank Malish, born 03 Jan 1884. [The above information was present when the current manager took over.] Agnes Bolf was born 15 Oct 1869 in Horní Becva, Valašské Mezirící, Morava, Rakousko in what is now the Czech Republic. She immigrated to the United States with her parents in about 1871. On 19 June 1880, she was enumerated with her parents in Williamson County, Texas. She was ten years old and born in Bohemia. The next oldest child was Frances, age eight and born in Texas. She first married Peter Marlish, probably in Williamson County in 1881. A marriage license was issued for them 10 Dec 1881but there is no return information indicating when their marriage actually occurred. Agnes would have been only twelve. She and Peter had perhaps eight children, six of which are documented. Peter Malish is said to have died in 1895 although no record of it has been discovered. Agnes next married Andrew Lufman (or Susman - the name is hard to read on the 1900 census) and appears to have had a son named Herman with him. There were enumerated 8 June 1900 in Williamson County. Six of her Malish children were listed with them with his last name along with Herman who was ten months old. No record of their marriage was found. Andrew soon died or left and Agnes next married Anton Lockman (or Lochman) on 9 October 1902 in Williamson County. They were enumerated in Williamson County on 19 April 1910 and two Malish sons and Herman were with them all iisted with the last name of Lockman. Her son Paul Malish and his wife Anna were living next door. Anton must have died in the next ten years because in 1920, Agnes is living her son Pete and his family. Her name was listed as Agnes Malish and she was a widow. On 30 April 1930, she appears to be married to John M. Knadle and they were living in Hidalgo County. Like her previous husbands, John is a farmer. He was born in Wisconsin and said said that both of his parents were born in Bohemia. John died on 14 December 1939 and his body was transported to South Dakota where he was laid to rest next to his first wife whom he married in 1881. She died in 1921. In 1940 Agnes was still living in Hidalgo County, just outside Mission City, and her divorced son Pete Malish was living with her. She had no occupation and he was a farm laborer. They must have soon moved back to Williamson County because on 11 August 1943 Agnes died in the city of Taylor and was buried there. Her son Paul was the informant for her death certificate.
